Mother Saltanat Douj (Mother Yousefi), the mother of Farideh Yousefi, passed away in Mordad 1402 (August 2023) after enduring more than four decades of pain and suffering. Farideh Yousefi was born in 1956 in Abadan and, at the age of 27, was executed by firing squad by the Islamic Regime pf Iran on 27 April 1983 (6 Ordibehesht 1362) in Evin Prison. Farideh Yousefi was an engineering student at the Abadan Faculty of Petroleum and worked temporarily as an English language teacher in public schools under the Ministry of Education. There are two accounts regarding her political affiliation. One holds that Farideh was an activist in the Organization of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class (Peykar). Another account states that she and her husband, Ali Ajam, were formerly activists in the Organization of Combatants (Razmandegan) and later joined the Union of Communist Combatants (Sahand).

According to one account, they were arrested together in 1981; according to another, they were arrested in early Mehr 1361 (late September 1982) in Tehran. At the time of their arrest, Farideh and Ali had a five-year-old daughter named Maryam.

The Islamic Regime of Iran executed Ali Ajam by firing squad on 21 April 1983 (1 Ordibehesht 1362) in Evin Prison, and his body was also buried in Khavaran. Ali was an employee of the National Iranian Oil Company.

In the same year, the IRI also executed Hassan Ajam, Ali Ajam’s brother. Both men were sons of Mother Ajam who was a member of Mothers of Khavaran. Hassan Ajam was a member of the Organization of Combatants and later joined Sahand (the Union of Communist Combatants). He was a student at Iran University of Science and Technology, married, arrested in late Shahrivar 1360 (September 1981), and executed on 2 January 1982 (12 Dey 1360 Iranian Calendar) in Evin Prison.
