Mother Mahin Abdi Roudgeryan, the mother of late Valiollah Roudgeryan, was one of the members of Organization of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class. Mother Roudgeryan was one of the mothers who, according to “the May (Argentine) Square Mothers,” witnessed two births: once they witnessed the birth of their own children and the second time they themselves were given birth by their children who opened their eyes to the facts of the world and prepared them for fighting to change those facts. She, as long as her physical strength allowed her, was a permanent fixture at the Khavaran ceremonies held on the eve of every Nowroz (New Year). Mother Roudgeryan played an active role in organizing the Amol families who had lost their loved ones and attended year after year the memorial ceremonies of the executed political prisoners, and never bowed her head against the threats of the regime. She died in the City of Amol in Tir 1392 (June-July 2013).
